November 2019 the local fire brigade was quickly on the scene to extinguish the fire below Archies lookout. This appeared to have been started in two places quite close to the track and burnt down the hill. It was hot enough to melt the plastic protectors around the flaxes. The area burnt will require a year of propagation of pioneer species to replace those burnt.
