Bark DescriptionThe bark of the younger kahikatea bark is particularly attractive but the older specimens show a more uniform brownish pattern. The above specimen is on the track edge by the boardwalk. An older tree is higher up the valley and a young tree is found on the flat in the more northen part of the reserve. |
