Mingimingi

Cyathodes fasciculata

The name mingimingi is given to a number of plants which have a long thin leaf. This particular mingimingi is a shrub with leaves which tend to be larger than the leaves of the manuka and kanuka. Mingimingi does not have the attractive flower of the manuka and kanuka instead, the flower is a tiny bell shaped bloom which occurs in clusters which hang from the stem.
