Above the waterfall

2003 saw the start of the planting above the waterfall. This area required the pioneer species (manuka and karamu) and for the drier slopes while cabbage and flax were eco-sourced for the wet slipping area. The cabbage tree roots extend deep into the earth and help to stabilise this ground over above the waterfall.
